One Pot Spaghetti

Jump to Recipe. Hey everyone, and welcome back to 30 Fun Dinners in 30 Days! Tonight, we're tackling a classic that doesn't have to be complicated: One-Pot Spaghetti! This recipe is a game-changer for busy weeknights.  Just a handful of ingredients come together to create a flavorful, satisfying pasta dish that the whole family will love.

The Secret Weapon: Toasted Aromatics

This recipe is all about maximizing flavor with minimal effort.  The key lies in toasting the garlic and dried onion in your pot before adding anything else.  Trust me, this simple step makes a world of difference!  The gentle toasting releases their aromatic oils, infusing the entire dish with a deep, savory base.

Building the Perfect Sauce:

Next, we introduce the ground beef and Italian sausage, browning them for richness.  After draining any excess grease, we add the star of the show: Cento whole tomatoes.  These beauties get crushed by hand, creating a chunky texture that's pure comfort food heaven.

Creamy, Dreamy Goodness:

To the crushed tomatoes, we add a classic tomato sauce for extra flavor.  Then comes the magic touch – a splash of heavy cream.  This adds a touch of richness and creaminess that elevates the sauce to a whole new level.

The Flavor Boost:

Now it's time for the seasoning party!  A sprinkle of dried basil adds that essential Italian vibe.  But here's the secret weapon you might not expect: brown sugar.  A couple of tablespoons of brown sugar adds a touch of sweetness that beautifully balances the acidity of the tomatoes.

One-Pot Wonder:

Here's the beauty of this recipe: no need for a separate pot to cook the pasta! Simply add the spaghetti right into the sauce with the water and Better Than Bouillon chicken base.  Bring it all to a boil, then simmer for about 15 minutes.  By the time the pasta is cooked through, the sauce will be nice and thick, clinging to every single noodle.

Dinnertime Done Right!

This One-Pot Spaghetti is the epitome of easy, delicious weeknight cooking.  With minimal prep and cleanup, you get a restaurant-worthy pasta dish that everyone will devour.  So ditch the takeout menus and give this recipe a try!  You won't be disappointed.
