S'mores Rice Krispy Treats

I was short on the mini marshmallows so I added a few big ones, PRO TIP:  if you do this too I would suggest cutting them up so they are the same size, so they melt easier.


As you pour the marshmallow, watch how some of the chocolate chips melt into gooey perfection! this gives you that perfect melty chocolate s’mores flavor. And I love teddy grahams I forgot how good those are! I I am seriously obsessed with these!


One of the best things about these S'mores Rice Krispie Treats is their versatility. Want to add a nutty crunch? Try tossing in some chopped peanuts or almonds. Craving a touch of salty sweetness? Sprinkle on a pinch of sea salt before serving.The possibilities are endless!

Ingredients

110- ounce bag + 1 Cup mini marshmallows

5 cups Rice Krispies

1 cup mini chocolate chips

1 cup Teddy Grahams or graham crackers broken into bite-sized pieces

1 teaspoon kosher salt

1/3 cup butter, chopped

11/2 teaspoon vanilla


Instructions:

  1. Prep the Pan: Line an 8x8 inch baking pan with aluminum foil and grease the foil with butter. Set aside.

  2. In a large bowl combine the Dry Ingredients: Rice Krispies cereal, Teddy Grahams, and chocolate chips.

  3. In a large saucepan over medium-low heat, combine the marshmallows and butter. Stir constantly until the marshmallows are completely melted and the mixture is smooth.

  4. Remove the saucepan from the heat, Stir in Vanilla then immediately pour the marshmallow mixture over the cereal mixture. Stir until all ingredients are well combined.

  5. Press and Cool: Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking pan and press down firmly to compact it. Allow to cool completely before cutting into squares.


Enjoy! These treats are best enjoyed fresh, but they can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for a few days.
