Ultimate Two-Sauce Spaghetti. This meal = HAPPY DANCE!!!! This spaghetti is so FREAKING good! 

This dish combines the creamy goodness of homemade Alfredo sauce with the savory tomatoey flavor of marinara sauce, creating a truly unforgettable pasta meal.

I think the secret to an amazing homemade alfredo sauce is using other cheeses in addition to parmesan! Adding gruyere really adds so much flavor!

Ingredients

  • 1 pound spaghetti
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 5-6 cloves garlic pressed
  • 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 cup gruyere cheese freshly grated/shredded
  • 1/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup shredded Italian mix shredded cheese
  • 1/2 tbsp sugar
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 tsp dried minced onion
  • 1 jar marinara sauce Rao’s
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 cup mozzarella shredded cheese
  • Additional Parmesan cheese and fresh basil for serving

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400. Cook the spaghetti: Cook the spaghetti according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  • Make the Alfredo sauce: While the spaghetti is cooking, melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Add the garlic and cook for 1 minute, or until fragrant. Stir in the heavy cream and cheeses until smooth and creamy. Add in the remaining spices and sugar. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Make the marinara: In a skillet cook hamburger. Add minced onion. Pour in marinara and add seasonings of your choice along with brown sugar. Salt and pepper to taste.
  • Get baking dish ready: In a baking dish of your choosing, pour spaghetti into it and pour alfredo sauce on top, mix thoroughly.
  • Pour the marinara over the top. Do not mix! Top with chees.
  • Bake in preheated oven for 15ish minutes.
  • Serve: Top with additional Parmesan cheese and fresh basil. Serve immediately.

Notes

Tips:
 
  • For a spicier dish, use a spicy marinara sauce.
  • Add your favorite protein, such as grilled chicken or sautéed shrimp, for a more substantial meal.
  • Serve with garlic bread or a side salad for a complete meal.
