1/2 cup powdered sugar
1-3 tbsp milk
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x5-inch loaf pan.
Combine brown sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl. Set aside.
Cream together butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla.
Whisk together flour, cinnamon, nutmeg and baking powder in a separate bowl. Gradually incorporate into wet ingredients alternating with milk.
Layer: Pour half the batter into prepared loaf pan. Top with half the apple mixture, then sprinkle with half the brown sugar and cinnamon mixture. Repeat layers.
Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Cool slightly before drizzling with powdered sugar glaze.
