Fold in the crumbled bacon and shredded cheddar cheese, reserving a small handful of cheese for the top if you want it extra melty.
Spread the mixture evenly into your prepared pan or dish.
Arrange the frozen tater tots in an even layer over the top, covering the entire surface.
Bake uncovered for 40–45 minutes, or until the tater tots are golden and crispy and the filling is hot and bubbly.
Let it sit for a few minutes before serving, then dig in.
