Ingredients

For the Cheese Mixture:

  • 8 oz Green Valley lactose-free cream cheese softened
  • 2 tablespoons grated onion
  • 1 clove garlic minced

For the Topping:

  • ¼ cup butter
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • ½ teaspoon spicy brown mustard
  • ¾ cup finely chopped toasted pecans

Instructions

  • Prepare the Cream Cheese Mixture: In a mixing bowl, blend together the softened cream cheese, grated onion, and minced garlic until smooth. Shape into a ball. Cover and refrigerate for 1 hour to let the flavors meld.
  • Make the Pecan Topping: In a small saucepan, combine the butter, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, and spicy brown mustard. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, for 2–3 minutes, or until the sugar is completely dissolved. Remove from heat and stir in the toasted pecans.
  • Assemble the Spread: Place the chilled cream cheese mixture on a serving dish. Pour the warm pecan topping evenly over the cream cheese.
  • Serve: Pair with your favorite crackers or baguette slices and serve immediately
