Ingredients

  • 1 pound lean ground beef 90/10
  • 5 ounces tomato sauce
  • ½ cup ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 teaspoons chili powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon sugar
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder

Instructions

  • Cook the beef: In a medium skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef. Cook while breaking up the meat into small crumbles—aim for a fine texture.
  • Drain: Once fully cooked, drain off any excess grease.
  • Add to slow cooker: Transfer the cooked ground beef to your slow cooker.
  • Mix it all in: Add the tomato sauce, ketchup, mustard, Worcestershire, chili powder, salt, pepper, sugar, and onion powder. Stir everything together until fully combined.
  • Let it do its thing: Cover and cook on LOW for 2 to 2½ hours. It can also chill here for quite a while, just give it a stir every so often.
  • Serve it up: Spoon the chili over grilled hot dogs, crispy fries, burgers, or baked potatoes. Add shredded cheese, onions, or jalapeños for extra flair!
