Ingredients

Bowl

  • 1 box InnovAsian Orange Chicken
  • 1 bag cole slaw mix cabbage with carrots
  • ½ cup sesame seeds
  • 2 packages dry ramen noodles any flavor, discard seasoning packets
  • ½ cup slivered almonds
  • 8 green onions chopped

Dressing

  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup oil
  • ¼ cup rice vinegar

Instructions

  • Prepare the InnovAsian Orange Chicken according to package directions.
  • Preheat oven to 350°F.
  • Spread the slivered almonds, crunched dry ramen noodles (discard seasoning packets), and sesame seeds onto a large cookie sheet.
  • Toast in the oven for 10–15 minutes, stirring once halfway through, until golden and fragrant. Remove from oven and allow to cool completely.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together the sugar, salt, pepper, oil, and rice vinegar until well combined.
  • In a large bowl, combine the cole slaw mix, chopped green onions, toasted ramen mixture, and cooked orange chicken.
  • Add the dressing just before serving and toss to coat evenly. Serve immediately for maximum crunch.

Notes

  • Do not dress early. Add the dressing close to serving time to keep everything crisp.
  • Cool the toasted mixture completely before combining so the slaw doesn’t wilt.
  • Break the ramen into small bite-sized pieces before toasting for better texture throughout the bowl.
