Preheat your oven to 350°F and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with nonstick spray.
In a large bowl, combine the frozen hash browns, French onion chip dip, cream of chicken soup, 1 cup of the shredded cheddar, onion powder, and garlic powder. Mix everything together until fully combined.
Transfer the mixture to your prepared baking dish and spread it out evenly.
Sprinkle the remaining 1 cup of shredded cheddar over the top.
Bake for 40 minutes.
Meanwhile, mix the crushed sour cream & onion chips with the melted butter in a bowl.
After the 40 minutes, remove the dish from the oven and evenly sprinkle the buttery chip mixture over the casserole.
Return to the oven uncovered and bake for another 20 minutes, or until hot and bubbly and the chips are lightly golden.
Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes before digging in!
