Ingredients

Sandwiches:

  • 24 Hawaiian rolls
  • About 2LBS of lunch meat from the deli (I do turkey and ham, roast beef is also great!) I use DiLusso!!
  • 12-24 slices of cheese I use Colby Jack or Havarti
  • Spoonful Mayo
  • Mustard to taste

Poppyseed Sauce

  • ½ cup butter melted
  • tablespoons yellow mustard
  • 1 tablespoon minced onion
  • 1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon poppy seeds

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Slice your Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally, leaving them connected for faster assembly.
  • Place meat and a slice of cheese on each roll. Top the cheese with mayo, then top the underside of the Hawaiian rolls with mustard. Then place the top of the roll on all the sandwiches.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together poppy seeds, mustard, melted butter, minced onion, and Worcestershire sauce. WHISK WELL! Make sure mustard is fully emulsified with the butter.
  • Brush or spoon the tops generously with the poppyseed sauce, including the sides.
  • Cover the sliders with foil and bake for 15 minutes. Uncover and bake for an additional 2-5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the tops are golden brown.
